No. 9 Pleasant Grove has found Delta River League rival Oak Ridge to be a tough matchup in girls basketball this season.
It didn't get any better for the Eagles on Tuesday night in El Dorado Hills as Oak Ridge handed the defending DRL champions a 66-40 defeat to go 3-0 in head-to-head meetings this season.
Ali Bettencourt led Oak Ridge (19-3, 6-0) with 21 points and Haley Anderson added 11. Dejza James topped Pleasant Grove (15-7, 3-3) with 16.
On Dec. 8 Oak Ridge defeated Pleasant Grove 75-31 in the championship game of the Oak Ridge Shootout, then beat the Eagles again in league, 66-54, Jan. 8 in Elk Grove.
Last year, Pleasant Grove beat the Trojans in both league meetings to finish 9-1 and atop the DRL.

NO. 6 NEVADA UNION 52, WOODCREEK 41 - The Miners (17-4, 5-1) jumped to a 27-16 halftime lead en route to the Sierra Foothill League win over the Timberwolves (11-12, 3-3) in Grass Valley.
NO. 7 CHRISTIAN BROTHERS 85, OAKMONT 43 - Led by Kira McKechnie's 23-point, 14-rebound performance and jumping out to a 25-1 first-quarter lead, the Falcons (16-7, 6-0) cruised past the Vikings (16-7, 2-4) in the Capital Valley Conference game in Oak Park. PONDEROSA 52, NO. 8 ST. FRANCIS 49 - Behind freshman Danielle Craft's 18 points and 14 by Ashley Beck, the Bruins (13-10, 2-4) kept their Division II playoff hopes alive with the DRL upset of the Troubadours (12-9, 3-3) in Sacramento. Najah Queenland led St. Francis with 14 points.
NO. 16 ROCKLIN 43, NO. 11 DEL ORO - Lydia Summers had 19 points and the host Thunder (16-7, 4-2) outscored the Golden Eagles 9-2 in the final quarter to hand Del Oro (14-9, 4-2) its second consecutive loss in the Sierra Foothill League. Until losing on Friday to unranked Woodcreek, Del Oro had won 72 of 73 league games.
NO. 13 BEAR RIVER 69, LINCOLN 45 - Sarah Hagar had 16 points, Savannah Welz 15 and Cindy Solomon 14 as the Bruins downed the Fighting Zebras in the Pioneer Valley League game in Lincoln.
NO. 14 DAVIS 59, GRANT 52 - The Blue Devils (19-4, 6-1) held off the upset-minded Pacers (13-10, 4-3) in the Delta Valley Conference game in Davis.
NO. 15 MONTEREY TRAIL 54, FRANKLIN 39 - Jasmine Redmon had 15 points, Tiara Webb 13 and Jasmine Chapman 12 as the Mustangs (17-7, 6-1) downed the Wildcats (11-12, 3-4) in the Delta Valley Conference game at Franklin.
NO. 17 COLFAX 48, FOOTHILL 35 - Reagan Lillie had 15 points to lead the Falcons (16-8, 6-1) over the Mustangs (7-13, 1-6) in the PVL game in Colfax, setting up Thursday's first-place showdown at Bear River.
