Dry weather is expected through the weekend.
The National Weather Service is predicting that a warm air mass aloft will keep daytime high temperatures in Northern California slightly above normal. Highs in the valleys and foothills are expected to be in the 60s through Sunday.
Overnight lows are forecast to be several degrees below normal in the valley and the mountains. Look for lows at night for Sacramento to dip into the 30s, but stay above freezing.
The detailed, 7-day forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:
Today: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph.
Tonight: Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 36. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph after midnight.
Thursday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 62. Calm wind.
Thursday night: Clear, with a low around 37. Light north northwest wind.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 64. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 5 mph in the morning.
Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63.
Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.
Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63.
Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45.
Tuesday: A slight chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 62.
