Re "A cop's-eye view of massacre" (Page A7, Jan. 29): The tragic killing in Newtown, Conn., continues to be newsworthy, as it should. What does not seem to be of media interest is the fact there were seven, not six, adult victims of the deranged killer.
The seventh happened to be the first victim and mother of the shooter. Yet, in news stories to this day this victim is seldom, if ever, mentioned. Might this omission be intentional on the part of the media because she was the owner of the weapon that caused this terrible act which she legally owned and with which she enjoyed recreational shooting?
