TONIGHT'S GAME

Kings (17-31) at Knicks (29-15)

• Time: 4:30 p.m.

• Where: Madison Square Garden, New York

• TV: Ch. 10

• Radio: 1140

THREE KEYS

• Salmons and Co.: John Salmons will have the first chance to defend Carmelo Anthony, but it has to be a team effort to slow one of the league's best scorers. James Johnson and Francisco Garcia also figure to have a shot at defending Anthony.

• Paint patrol: Interior defense by Knicks center Tyson Chandler gave DeMarcus Cousins problems when they played in December. The Kings have to keep Cousins on the move and not settle for one-on-one post looks against one of the NBA's best post defenders.

• Bench advantage: New York has two reserves averaging double figures (J.R. Smith, Amar'e Stoudemire). The Kings need their reserves to play well, and the bench scoring can't be one-sided.
