Re "Mealtime is family time, even if it's just takeout" (Living Here, Jan. 31): When was the last time you ate dinner with your family? Due to not having meals together families lose the quality time talking about our days. I believe that without those meals together we wouldn't have such a strong bond.
Even if I, the worst cook in the house, is the only one with time to make a meal, they will gratefully eat it. Before my family agreed to find time for weekly meals, we were always arguing, and for the littlest things because we didn't know enough about each other to even understand what we were arguing about.
