Regardless of one's feelings about the current state of gun control in this country, the ad on page A4 of the Feb. 1 Bee is certainly illustrative. The ad is for a California-legal "M&P 15/AR type" rifle. Although M&P stands for "military and police," it is called a "sport" rifle.
The website for a major national sporting goods dealer states that this weapon is not available at their Connecticut store. How very, very sad that it is still legal to sell and advertise these weapons in this state.
