Today's high is expected to be 66 degrees, which is eight degrees warmer than the normal daytime high in early February.
National Weather Service computer models continue to indicate that a weather system will move into the region on Thursday, bringing temperatures in the mid-50s to Sacramento.
Showers are expected to extend southward at least to the Sacramento area on Thursday. Weather service forecasters also predict that the upcoming system will bring snowfall to the Sierra.
