A weakening weather system will leave some clouds, but highs are forecast to remain in the 60s today.
Scattered showers with the potential for thunderstorms are expected Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasts show three to six inches of snow could fall in the mountains.
The NWS forecast for the Sacramento region:
Today: Patchy dense fog in the morning. Partly cloudy. Highs around 61. South winds up to 10 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows around 40. Light winds.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs 57 to 63. Northwest winds up to 10 mph.
Wednesday night: Partly cloudy. Lows around 38. South winds up to 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain showers in the morning, then rain showers likely in the afternoon. Highs 51 to 59. South winds up to 10 mph.
Thursday night: cloudy with rain showers likely. Lows around
35.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs 49 to 57.
Friday night: Mostly clear. Lows 30 to 36.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. Patchy fog. Highs 53 to 59.
Saturday night: Mostly clear. Lows 30 to 36.
Sunday: Mostly sunny. Patchy fog. Highs around 59.
Sunday night: Mostly clear. Lows 31 to 37.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Patchy fog. Highs 57 to 63.
