Re "Perry, Brown spar over business" (Capitol & California, Feb. 5): In support of Gov. Rick Perry's invitation to California businesses to move to Texas, I'd say he was right on track to build the economy of his state. That is exactly what governing is about.
Gov. Jerry Brown should take a lesson. Instead, when asked about it, all he could say was "Of course they're coming here. So are the British coming here, so are the French, so are the Russians, so are the Chinese. Everybody with a half a brain is coming to California. So Texas, come on over."
So everybody who is not in California has only half a brain. What an insult!
I would submit to Brown that there are a great many people with half a brain already in California. They sit in the Legislature, the governor's office and other cherry government jobs throughout the state.
