After 10 days of no rain, more precipitation is on the way.
The last time Sacramento had measureable rainfall was Jan. 25, the third day of a three-day mini-weather event in which a total of .23 of an inch fell.
The National Weather Service is forecasting another small storm, perhaps beginning tonight. Most of the rainfall is expected on Thursday when a low pressure system is expected to pass over Northern California.
The weather is forecast to be colder, too, with daytime lows in the mid-50s on Thursday, instead of the 60s.
Rainfall in the valley is expected to amount to about a quarter of an inch. Snow is also expected, with 3-7 inches of snowfall above 4,000-feet elevation.
