The Sacramento City Unified School District is proposing to close 11 under-enrolled elementary schools at the end of the school year.
The vote on the closures is scheduled Feb. 28.
The district is holding community meetings at each of the 11 schools, including two held Wednesday at Mark Hopkins Elementary School and Fruit Ridge Elementary School.
Tonight, district trustees will discuss the closures at a school board meeting that begins at 6:30 at the Serna Center, 5735 47th Ave.

The remaining meetings all begin at 6 p.m.:
• Wednesday, Washington Elementary School, 520 18th St. • Wednesday, Maple Elementary School, 3301 37th Ave.
• Feb. 19, C.P. Huntington Elementary School, 5921 26th St.
• Feb. 19, Joseph Bonnheim Elementary School, 7300 Marin Ave.
