Re "Why Barack Obama is the most radical president in U.S. history" (Viewpoints, Feb. 7): The language used by Charles A. Hummer was clearly to incite rather than inspire or debate. The column is filled with exaggerated facts, unsubstantiated claims and outright lies that editors and readers are well aware of. Quoting the Heritage Foundation as a credible source makes as much sense as quoting Fox News or World News Daily. The Bee lowers itself to those same standards when it publishes a column like this.
I'd like to hear a reasoned debate; this was not it. Other than allowing me to hear again the gibberish of the right wing so I can confirm how outside the real world they are, I don't need it any more. Please advance to rational discussion based on facts, and not name calling, spin and distortion
