Re "Texas' Perry fixin' to take jobs fight to Brown's turf" (Page A1, Feb. 8): I spend slightly more than a half of each year in the Hill Country of Texas and the balance in the balance in Northern California. Each is wonderful in its own ways.
However, something Gov. Jerry Brown puzzled me when he said, "Everybody with half a brain is coming to California is coming to California."
Why are we encouraging people with a half a brain to come to California? Is there a shortage of candidates for the Legislature?
