Re "High school debates guns (Letters, Feb. 12): I was happy to see where a Granite Bay High School government class debated gun laws.
Please don't stop there. Students should demand a comprehensive program in every class from first grade through high school to educate a new generation of American children about our forefathers, the Second Amendment, gun safety, gun laws, actual gun training, and the effects of gun carnage.
The National Rifle Association should be part of this along with our Education departments, police departments and our legislators.
