Re "Lawmaker pushes repeal of welfare's 'family cap'" (Page A1, Feb. 13): Jessica Bartholow of the Western Center on Law and Poverty and Assemblywoman Holly Mitchell, D-Los Angeles, have got to be kidding California taxpayers.
I'm a Democrat who abhors tea party ideology because it is extreme. Bartholow and Mitchell are equally extreme, though at the other end of the spectrum. The rational masses of people are sandwiched in between these two slices of lunacy.
We all have to except limits in our lives, especially people who live off the generosity of others.
I'm sure these ultra-liberals favor other forms of government intrusion that makes decisions for those who need to be protected from themselves. That's what the family cap does. It prevents welfare recipients from having more children than they and the taxpayers can afford.

• Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
• Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
• Don't flag other users' comments just because you don't agree with their point of view. Please only flag comments that violate these guidelines.

Remember, comment moderation is subjective. You may find some material objectionable that we won't and vice versa.
