Re "Unions pick at pension overhaul" (Page A1, Feb. 14): During this last election, a majority of the voters took the bait from Gov. Jerry Brown and Democratic-controlled Legislature, and approved a tax increase, on condition that they would use the money prudently.
What they passed as meaningful pension reform does not address the unfunded liabilities, or the cost of health care for current and future retirees.
Unions that heavily fund Democratic campaigns want to roll back what little was approved. Every legislator who agrees to weakening the pension reform law should be recalled. Petition anyone?
