Re "City district may swap schools on closure list" (Our Region, Feb 14): The Bee's coverage of the Sacramento City Unified School District's proposed closure of some elementary schools has not addressed the real issue: should elementary schools have 900 to 1,000 students, or should they be in the 400-student range to effectively educate the children. Studies show the latter.
No elementary charter school would have 1,000 students. Citrus Heights has neighborhood schools. So can Sacramento.
