UC Davis splits in softball
UCD hammered Santa Clara 14-1, then was held to one hit in an 8-0 loss to No. 20 Stanford on the final day of the Stanford Nike Invitational.
The Aggies (5-5) scored 13 runs in the final three innings to beat Santa Clara in six innings, according to UCD's website.
Krista Bava hit a two-run double during a four-run fourth inning. Chandler Wagner had an RBI double, and Cat Guidry singled in a run.
Wagner had a two-run triple in the sixth, and Kelly Schulze hit a two-run double.
Against Stanford, Jasmine Lee had the only hit for UCD off Kelsey Stevens, who struck out eight.
