Re "Digging in for quarry fight" (Page A1, Feb. 17): The article brings memories of the courting of my town, Sutter Creek, by these same developers. Once the project was approved, their donations and community sponsorhips abruptly stopped. Now that project has been sold to a third party and the new owners are expected to go before the city to request changes to the development agreement that Sutter Creek took years to write, and that residents approved by 16 votes in a referendum.
Funny how that works. Good luck with this, Ione! These guys have impressive resources, experience, and well-paid advisers and experts. Do you?
