The Lions Gate Hotel at McClellan Park is now overseeing a 70,000-square-foot conference center on the ground floor of the former SureWest building at McClellan Business Park.
The hotel has previously utilized an 8,000-square-foot conference center at the hotel site, but the larger center has already hosted a few events and meetings. Officials said the new, multimillion-dollar facility is designed to attract larger events.
The new center features a 38,000-square-foot General Session Room with sky windows and advanced audio-visual technology. Officials said on-site facilities can handle gathering of up to 3,000.
"We're now able to offer a completely inclusive meeting and conference package - free parking, free Wi-Fi, catering, terrific accommodations, a state-of-the-art meeting facility and all of the great amenities that McClellan Business Park provides," said Jeroen Gerrese, asset manager of Lions Gate Hotel.
