Visionary Integration Professionals, a Folsom-based information technology and managed services firm, said it has been awarded a $2.48 million contract from the California Office of Systems Integration.
Under the contract, VIP will perform systems engineering services for the implementation phase of OSI's Case Management, Information and Payrolling System II.
CMIPS II is replacing the 30-year-old, previous-generation system that tracks 400,000 cases statewide for the California Department of Social Services' In-Home Supportive Services Program, which provides services to qualified elderly, blind and disabled individuals.
Those case-information and payment-processing services enable Californians to remain in their homes and avoid institutionalization.
Established in 1996, VIP employs about 800 in six U.S. offices, providing services to more than 900 government and commercial clients.
