Two Elk Grove town hall meetings set to discuss city budget

Elk Grove is planning two town hall meetings this week to discuss the city's budget for the coming fiscal year.

The public meetings are set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elk Grove Regional Park Pavilion, 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road; and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Poppy Room of the Wackford Community and Aquatic Complex, 9014 Bruceville Road.

Participants will be able to learn more about the budget process and spending plan for the new fiscal year, which starts July 1. They also can weigh in on city spending priorities.

Elk Grove's current city budget is about $157 million.
