'On the Road' to music

What: Capitol Pops Concert Band gives a free performance at the California Automobile Museum. A mix of automotive-themed arrangements, 1950s-'70s hits and traditional favorites will be offered against a backdrop of the exhibit "1968."

When: 7-8:30 p.m. today

Four and four for charity

What: Could it get any better than a four-mile run, jog or walk fueled by four doughnuts? Turns out, it can! You can do it for charity. Donut Dash No. 5 (through Land Park to Marie's Donuts and back) supports a program at Sutter Children's Center, Sacramento. It's also fun to watch.

When: Dash begins at 8:30 a.m.; check-in starts at 7:15 a.m.

Where: Start/finish near Freeport Boulevard and Sutterville Road.
