The Sacramento campus of the Universal Technical Institute will host open houses for prospective students Thursday and Saturday.
The Thursday open house at 4100 Duckhorn Drive - on the west side of Interstate 5, across from Sleep Train Arena - will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday's open house is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Both events include sessions on training programs and financial aid for those who qualify. UTI said it is anticipating interest from students at the West Sacramento campus of WyoTech, which announced last week that it will close in October.
For-profit UTI-Sacramento offers post-secondary education for students seeking careers as professional automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle and marine technicians.
UTI-Sacramento also offers tours at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
