Supporters of a World War II memorial in Roseville are looking for help completing the monument celebrating the contributions of Japanese Americans during the war.
The memorial at Roseville's Bill Santucci Justice Center is open for viewing but remains incomplete, say backers.
The memorial's 2,000-pound bronze statue, "Rescue of the Lost Battalion," was installed in October.
The Placer County Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League is seeking help funding two polished granite benches and a curved concrete backdrop. Bricks to complete the project can be purchased for $300 each.
To order a brick, go to www.placerjacl.org.
