ANAHEIM – Dylan Royer made all five of his three-point attempts, finishing with 17 points, and Cal Poly pulled away in the second half for a 64-41 victory over UC Davis in the quarterfinals of the Big West Conference men's tournament on Thursday. Cal Poly, which has won six in a row, will play Pacific in tonight's semifinals.

The third-seeded Mustangs (18-12) led 20-19 at halftime after shooting just 28.0 percent from the field. Cal Poly scored the first 11 points in the second half and shot 51.6 percent after the break (41.1 percent overall).

"The first team that was going to break out into an offensive rhythm was going to have the upper hand (in the second half), and that was Cal Poly," Aggies coach Jim Les said on UCD's athletics website.

Drake U'u (Rio Americano High School) scored 10 points for Cal Poly. Ryan Sypkens (Franklin High School) led the sixth-seeded Aggies (14-17) with nine points.
