Sacramento-area hotels saw year-over-year increases in occupancy rates, average daily room rates and revenue-per-room in the historically slow month of January.
The San Francisco office of industry tracker PKF Consulting USA said the area's average occupancy rate in January was 59.2 percent, up from 59 percent in January a year ago.
The average daily room rate in the Sacramento area in January was $97.13, up from $92.25 in January 2012. Revenue per room in January was $57.52, up from $54.46 in 2012.
Northern California was led by San Francisco, with a January occupancy rate of 70.6 percent and a revenue-per-room average of $147.40.
