The Sacramento State women's basketball team lost to top seed and host Montana 74-53 Friday in the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference tournament in Missoula, Mont., according to Sac State's athletics website.
The Hornets (19-12) posted the most wins in program history and won in the first round of the Big Sky tournament in back-to-back years after going winless in four previous trips.
Sac State will find out Monday if it receives a bid to the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
Alle Moreno led the Hornets with 14 points, and Kylie Kuhns had 12 rebounds. Se'nyce Parrish went 3 of 3 from three-point range and scored nine points. Big Sky MVP Katie Baker led Montana (23-7) with 17 points.
