Kudos to: Maegan Betz and Emily Watson, Irish dancers

Accomplishment: They will be representing the region and California at the Irish Dance World Championships in Boston.

Details: Betz, 13, of Roseville, and Watson, 11, of Folsom, are students at the O'Sullivan Academy of Irish Dance in Roseville. Betz has qualified for the championships for the past four years.

Kudos to: Recipients of Regional Transit's annual awards

Accomplishment: The TransitAction Awards recognize efforts that had a significant positive impact on Sacramento regional transit.

Details: The winners: McClellan Park, business category; Capitol Area Development Authority, organization category; Seventh and H Street Apartments, transit-oriented development category; Sacramento Councilwoman Bonnie Pannell, elected official category; Barbara Stanton, individual/advocate category.

Kudos to: Jesuit High School Chamber Choir

Accomplishment: Invited to sing at Carnegie Hall

Details: Under the direction of Alejandro Baez, students qualify for the choir after a vocal audition and must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.0. They will perform March 25 at Carnegie Hall.
