Marcus and Crystal Gomez send used clothes overseas.

Marcus Gomez binds a 873-pound bale of used clothes at his California Clothing Recyclers warehouse in Sacramento, Calif. on Monday, March 18, 2013 before it can be shipped overseas. If the clothing donated to a thrift store doesn't sell, it will likely wind up going to people like Marcus and Crystal Gomez. They sell the cast-offs to companies who ship the clothing overseas and sell it to Central America, South America, Africa, Europe and other far-flung locales. The used clothing is packaged into huge bundles. Shoes, purses belts are all packaged separately.
