Pit bull terrier owners can get free vaccines, identification microchips and vouchers for spay and neuter surgeries and dog training for their pets at events in the Sacramento area April 6.
The "Celebrate Your Pit Bull" events will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at:
• Capehart Youth Center, 7916 Aztec Way, Antelope.
• Robertson Community Center, 3525 Norwood Ave., Sacramento.
• Elk Grove Regional Park, 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Elk Grove.
The events are sponsored by the Sacramento SPCA, the city of Sacramento's Animal Care Services Department, and Sacramento County's Department of Animal Care and Regulation and the ASPCA.
All dogs at the event must be leashed.
