A look back at the four area state boys basketball champions:

FOLSOM | 1985

• With coach Stan Harms pacing the sideline and Bee Player of the Year Mike Doyle manning the middle, the Bulldogs won the Division III title with a 68-57 victory over Avenal, capping a 31-2 season.

• The Mustangs, coached by Drew Hibbs and led by guards Alvin Houston and Mike Pelton and the muscle of Rick Gonzalez, belted Pacifica of Garden Grove 81-61 in Division III, snapping the Southern California champions' 28-game winning streak.

• Guards Chris Walker and Sam Kirby, best friends for years, led the Mustangs past Harvard Westlake of North Hollywood 66-62 in Division III. Kirby had 22 points and Walker 15 to help Hibbs win his second state title.

OAK RIDGE | 2005

• The Trojans ripped Mater Dei of Santa Ana, ranked No. 7 nationally, 60-44 in Division II, prompting Monarchs coach Gary McKnight to say it was his most humbling loss (he goes for a record 10th title Saturday). Bee Player of the Decade Ryan Anderson teamed with Ryan Moya and Andrew Browning to lead the Trojans.
