    Easter activities in the Sacramento area

    Saturday

    Spring Eggstravaganza

    The Cosumnes Community Services District hosts an egg hunt and spring activities with the Easter Bunny. There will be carnival games, an egg scramble, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, craft projects and live entertain- ment by the Hipwaders and the Pleasant Grove Rock Band. Most activities have a minimal fee. Food vendors will be there. Breakfast with the Bunny, co-sponsored by the Pride of Laguna Creek Lions Club. Register early because seat- ing is limited.     Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt

    Legends at Woodcreek Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt. Bunny breakfast buffet (9-11 a.m.); annual egg hunt (11:30 a.m., registration earlier); spring festival (9 a.m.-2 p.m.), featuring live rabbits (no adoptions at this event), Easter-related fundraising items available, face painting, games, a bounce house, golden Easter egg basket giveaway and a coloring contest. 9 a.m. Legends at Woodcreek, 5880 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd., Roseville.     Community Easter Egg Hunt

    The Active 20-30 Club of Greater Roseville/South Placer No. 36 will hold its fourth annual free Community Easter Egg Hunt.     Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

    Easter Egg Hunt

    Easter at Fremont Presbyterian Church

    Easter egg hunts (age separated event), 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., also includes bounce houses, face painting, crafts. Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Drive, Sacramento. Free. (916) 452-7132.

    Brunch with Mr. Jelly Belly and the Easter Bunnies

    Join Mr. Jelly Belly, Wendell and Wendy Bunny for a private brunch, entertainment and Easter treats. 10:30 a.m.-noon; doors open at 10 a.m. Jelly Belly Factory and Visitor Center, One Jelly Belly Lane, Fairfield. $19.99 per person; free for children ages 2 and younger.     Easter in the Park

    Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast

    The East Sacramento-Midtown Kiwanis Club hosts its 26th annual pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt at McKinley Park's Clunie Clubhouse. Free Easter egg hunts (begin at 9:30 a.m.), carnival games, and a fundraising breakfast (served from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., $6 general, $4 children). McKinley Park, 601 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento.     Candy Land

    With three egg hunts, the scramble will be on at Elevate Life Church's Easter egg hunt and celebration at Rutter Park, 7350 Palmer House Drive, Sacramento. The free event offers carnival games and raffles, musical and dance entertainment such as dance performances and contest, and rap performances. Find hot dogs, cotton candy and refreshments for $1.     Hoppin' and Huntin' at Hagan

    The Rancho Cordova Recreation and Park District, Rotary Club of Rancho Cordova, and Kiwanis Club of Rancho Cordova sponsor its annual Easter egg hunt and all-you-can eat pancake breakfast (8:30-11:30 a.m.; $5 general, free for children ages 5 and younger). The free Easter egg hunt – by age groups – starts at 10 a.m. (for children ages 10 and younger). A kid zone will be open from 9 a.m. to noon for games and contests, face painting, crafts, music, a robotic surf machine and bounce houses. Smile for your pictures with the Easter Bunny, offered for $5. Held at Hagan Community Park, 2197 Chase Drive, Rancho Cordova. (916) 635-8977.

    Sunday

    Victorian Easter Celebration

    Dress up in your Victorian Easter finery and march in the Victorian Easter parade. Registration begins at 11 a.m., parade is at 12:30 p.m. Children will enjoy Columbia's Easter egg hunts. The Small Fry Egg Search is at noon for ages 3-5. After the Easter parade (1 p.m.), the Junior Egg Poachers (ages 6-8) will try their luck, and the Great Egg Scramblers (ages 9-12) take a crack at 1:30 p.m. Columbia State Historic Park, Main Street, Columbia.     Easter Eggstravaganza

    Find giant eggs stashed all over the mountain and carry them down to the North Lodge to redeem prizes. A golden basket with a 2013-14 season pass will be hidden on the mountain. A skiing Easter bunny will be watching over the Mini Egg Hunt, geared toward children, who will find the mini eggs filled with candy; one mini egg will have a grand mini prize. 9 a.m. Homewood Mountain Resort, 5145 W.     Haggin Oaks Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast

    Free annual pancake breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt. The free pancake breakfast starts at 9:30 a.m. and the Easter egg hunt starts at 11 a.m. (for children ages 10 and younger). All eggs are filled with candy and a few eggs filled with prizes. 9:30 a.m. Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, 3645 Fulton Ave., Sacramento. Free. (916) 808-2526.

    Multiple days

    Spring Eggstravaganza

    Features spring-themed hands-on activities, pictures with Peter Cottontail (additional cost), daily egg hunts (held at noon, 1 and 2 p.m.) separated by age groups, and "Beauty and the Beat" performance at the children's theater by the Fairytale Town Troupers (12:30 and 2:30 p.m.; $1, $2). 11 a.m. Saturday-Sunday.
