We attended the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt at McKinley Park with our 3-year-old granddaughter on Saturday. An area was sectioned off, allowing for what we thought was going to be an organized, age-appropriate event.
After a lengthy wait, the costumed Easter Bunny announced "Go." Much to our horror, as our tiny grand daughter ran out to basket the blue egg she had her eye on, she was immediately knocked down by two rude parents. We were shocked to witness the melee. In defense of her now crying child, my daughter-in-law ran out to rescue her and help.
Perhaps the Kiwanis Club can offer an adults-only Easter Egg hunt next year.
