Re "New Nevada psychiatric dumping cases found" (Page A1, April 2): The policy of busing transient individuals out of big cities is Nevada's standard operating procedure, and is not limited to one hospital.
In Elko, where I resided, there were more than 200 abandoned human beings living outside. They were bused in and dumped. You see, homelessness is bad for the gaming industry. About half of these individuals were mentally ill, but there were also a few who were terminally ill or elderly. The prevailing attitude there is that these people should crawl off and die, preferably out of sight.
