Today's rain in the Sacramento region should continue through mid-to-late morning.
The light rainfall has wet the streets for the morning commute. Hopefully, it will also dampen the affects of pollen, giving temporary relief to allergy sufferers.
After the main weather front passes, the National Weather Service predicts that there could be some scattered showers this afternoon in Sacramento. Skies clear tonight, leading to partly sunny conditions on Friday.
In the mountains, the small storm should not affect travelers on two trans-Sierra routes during the day. The NWS expects that any snowfall will above the pass level, leaving Interstate 80 and 50 without sticking snow for tire chain-free travel.
