Chicano art posters
What: "The Poster! La Palabra! The Word!" features select silk-screen posters from the CSU Sacramento collection of art by the Royal Chicano Air Force, an influential Chicano art collective based in Sacramento. Founded in 1969 in solidarity with Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers, the group included artists, politicians, union organizers, and community activists. RCAF also produced a number of long-standing murals around California, including one decorating Southside Park's amphitheater.

What: What separates us from outdoor enthusiasts in the British Isles (besides an ocean and continent, that is)? Acceptance of tweed, of course! Organizers of the 2013 Tweed Ride say "dust off your jodphurs" and join them to honor the venerable unfinished woolen fabric.
