Re "Drugs you toss could end up in your water" (Editorial, April 5): We agree with your editorial on the importance of properly disposing unneeded or expired prescription drugs.
National prescription drug take back days, such as the April 27 one organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration, are important and laudable.
However, ideally consumers should have more convenient access to drug disposal options than once or twice a year. More than 1,600 independent community pharmacies take back unneeded, non-narcotic drugs through the Dispose My Meds program.
