To raise money to replace aging band instruments, Laguna Creek High School will host a recycling event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20.
"Laguna Creek is 19 years old this year. At least 90 percent of our musical instruments are also 19 years old," said Sheron Morris, of the school's band booster club. "They are in poor repair."
E-waste, including televisions, computer monitors, flat screens, printers, cellphones laptops, stereos, game consoles, cables, wires and chargers will be collected at no charge.
Documents will be shredded on-site for a donation of $10 for two bankers boxes, and household batteries will be collected for a small donation.
