Winds are expected to increase this afternoon, but they won't be as strong as on Monday, according to forecasters.
The National Weather Service is predicting northerly winds of 15 to 25 mph today, with gusts to around 35 mph expected throughout the Central Valley. The weather system that spawned Monday's windy conditions is moving away from the Sacramento region.
