Zunino has another big night for Tacoma

• Game highlights: Mike Zunino, who had four RBIs Monday, hit a grand slam, and Alex Liddi added a two-run shot as the Tacoma Rainiers downed the River Cats 9-5 Tuesday night.

• Could have been a Cat: Zunino, the Seattle Mariners' No. 1 prospect, was drafted No. 3 overall in 2012. However in 2009, he was drafted in the 29th round by the A's out of high school.

• Straily starts Thursday: What does a pitcher have to do to stay with the A's? Dan Straily pitched Friday for the A's and won, striking out 11, and what's he get? He gets sent to Triple A.

• Hitting streaks: River Cat Michael Taylor extended his streak to nine games dating back to last season, while Jemille Weeks improved his streak to six games.

• Today: River Cats RHP Jesse Chavez (0-1, 0.00) vs. Tacoma Rainiers RHP Andrew Carraway (0-1, 4.50), 7:05 p.m., Raley Field.
