Districts team up to tackle minority achievement gap

Twin Rivers Unified and Robla Elementary school district teachers and administrators are teaming up to try to find a solution to the minority achievement gap.

The districts are hosting a series of Community Conversations on the issue.

The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Norwood Jr. High, 4601 Norwood Ave. in Sacramento, on April 20; Highlands High School at 6601 Guthrie Way in North Highlands on April 27; and at Rio Tierra Jr. High, 3201 Northstead Drive in Sacramento, on May 4.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as will child care for children ages 5 to 12 with advance registration. Interpretation in Spanish and Hmong will be provided.
