Wine open house
What: For the 33rd year, owners and winemakers Ben Zeitman and Katie Quinn will host a spring open house at Amador Foothill Winery. Along with appetizers, the winery's current releases will be available for tasting, including new limited production releases: 2011 Grenache, 2012 Rosato of Sangiovese and 2009 Esola Vineyard Zinfandel.
When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Wine and beer tasting
What: The South Yuba River Citizens League's third "Wild for the Yuba" event features tastings from two dozen wineries and breweries plus appetizers and desserts. Proceeds support programs to protect and restore the Yuba River.
