The Bee posse's weekly update of the latest in area conditions, bargains, etc.

Course – What you need to know

Antelope Greens – Fairways nice on the four par 4s; tee boxes need help – they're mostly uneven; greens healthy but very slow following April 1-2 punching

Cherry Island – Green everywhere; lush in fairways; greens roll true – no waffling like at other munis that have older greens; definition between fairways and rough a treat – rough penal but not unreasonable; new tee on No. 13 nice but yardage on scorecard now inaccurate – use yardage on hole sign

DarkHorse – Greens recovered from verticut; many bunkers need more sand, fewer rocks

Dry Creek – New tee box being built across the creek on No. 1 is more in the middle, so white- and red-tee players won't have to hit a super fade to avoid creek along the left; greens just about "there," and fairways filling in nicely

Lincoln Hills – Excellent fairways and aprons on Hills course; greens still healing from March 18 aerification but not bad; practice area seems revitalized, somehow

The Ridge – Fairways/tees great; greens have ways to go following March 25-27 punching; brisk pace of play just a tad over four hours; hitting off grass range a bonus

WildHawk – Greens still fuzzy but smooth after April 1-2 aerification; rest of course great

Aerified last week: Bass Lake, Turkey Creek

Aerified this week: Bing Maloney, Diamond Oaks
