Davis police investigators have set up a tip line for leads into Sunday's double-homicide that claimed the lives of a longtime local attorney and his wife.

Oliver Northup, 87, and Claudia Maupin, 76, were found dead by police late Sunday at their Davis home.

Relatives had said the couple failed to show for a memorial service Sunday afternoon where Northup, a member of the popular local folk ensemble, the Putah Creek Crawdads, was scheduled to sing.

Davis police said someone had broken into the home and that Northup and Maupin had been stabbed.

Investigators on Wednesday continued to search for leads and a possible motive for the killings, which have shaken a community whose last homicide was in 2011.

More than 50 people from agencies including the FBI and California Department of Justice are working alongside Davis investigators, said Davis Police Lt. Paul Doroshov.

"We're still pretty open in our investigation," Doroshov said. "We don't take anything off the table. Anything's a possibility."

Police ask anyone with information to call the voice mail tip line at (530) 747-5439 to leave a message and a contact number.

Any urgent or emergency information should still be reported to Davis police dispatch at (530) 758-3600.
