Earlier this week, The Bee's Joe Davidson and longtime Kings broadcasters Gary Gerould, Jerry Reynolds and Grant Napear were nearly in agreement in selecting an all-time starting lineup from the Kings' 28 seasons in Sacramento.
All four picked Vlade Divac (center), Chris Webber (power forward), Peja Stojakovic (small forward) and Mitch Richmond (shooting guard). Gerould, Reynolds and Davidson went with Reggie Theus at point guard; Napear picked Mike Bibby.
We asked Bee readers to weigh in, and more than 2,600 of you voted in our online poll (we listed four players at each of the five positions). You agreed about Divac, Webber, Stojakovic and Richmond.
Bibby was an overwhelming winner at point guard, and Jason Williams finished second, slightly ahead of Theus, proving the popularity of those successful teams Williams helped turn into a national story.
