Cats glance: Vogt continues to swing a hot bat for River Cats

Game highlight: Stephen Vogt continues to lead the Pacific Coast League in hitting (.529), on-base percentage (.579) and slugging percentage (1.000), collecting a home run, single and two walks Saturday to help lead the River Cats to a 6-4 victory over the Reno Aces at Raley Field.

Record-breaker: Travis Banwart (2009-13) struck out three to become the all-time River Cats strikeout leader with 308 and break the mark of 306 held by Dan Meyer.

Transactions: Pitcher Darren Byrd was placed on the temporarily inactive list, pitcher Pedro Vidal was transferred from Class-A Stockton and Saturday's scheduled starter Jesse Chavez was recalled by the A's.

Today: River Cats RHP Dan Straily (2-0, 1.42 ERA) vs. Reno RHP Chase Anderson (1-2, 4.67), 5:05 p.m., Raley Field.
