River Cats at a glance: Cats' Straily sharp in victory over Aces

Game highlight: Right-hander Dan Straily allowed no earned runs over six innings, and Shane Peterson and Daric Barton drove in runs in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie as the River Cats beat the Reno Aces 3-1 on Monday night at Raley Field.

Touching home: The River Cats lead the Pacific Coast League in runs with 127. The only professional team with more is the Bowie Baysox, the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, with 130. The franchise record is 864 set in 2000.

Keep it up: The River Cats also lead the PCL in hits with 202 and are second in batting with a .296 average.

Streak stopped: The River Cats' Stephen Vogt had his 13-game hitting streak halted.

Today: River Cats LHP Justin Thomas (0-1, 3.68 ERA) vs. Reno LHP Tyler Skaggs (1-2, 7.24), 12:05 p.m., Raley Field.
