Cats glance: Five-run second inning powers Cats over Salt Lake

Game highlight: The River Cats used five hits and three Salt Lake errors in a five-run second inning en route to a 6-5 win over the Bees on Thursday night at Raley Field.

Plays of the game: With the River Cats leading 6-1 in the fifth inning, left fielder Shane Peterson made a diving catch in left-center with runners on first and second and one out. The Bees failed to score. He also made a sliding catch in the ninth inning.

Today: River Cats LHP Andrew Werner (1-2, 11.32 ERA) vs. Salt Lake RHP Billy Buckner (3-0, 2.28), 7:05 p.m., Raley Field.
