Re "Business is booming in Texas" (Editorial cartoon, April 25): Dear Editors: As a resident of the great state of Texas, I am highly offended by the cartoon published in your paper. As you surely know, lives were lost, homes were destroyed, senior citizens were injured, and people displaced -- not to mention breadwinners who were put out of work in an already tight family economy.

The cartoon depicting an explosion falls way below the standard of good journalism and bottoms out on the human compassion scale. Please remove this horrific display of unconcern for your fellow Americans and make this right.
